I’ve gone for a bit of a radical image change. I’ve had my head shaved to a grade 4 all over. Why? Good question.

I did something similar on our honeymoon in New Zealand a couple of years ago (I’m not sure why!). I quite liked it but I let it grow back for two reasons. Firstly, I wasn’t convinced that Fi liked it. Secondly, I did not look good with glasses and a shaved head! Since I don’t overly like wearing contacts all day long, I went off the look.

Well, it turns out that Fi did like my hair when it was short (as evidenced by her setting my contact photo on her phone to a picture of me with short hair). She asked me if I would cut it short again just to see if I liked it. After Cath (who stayed with us after Glastonbury last week) said I looked “hot” with short hair, I thought I’d give it a go!

It’s certainly easier to manage but I’ve had mixed responses at work. My favourite has been from another surgical SHO, Ollie, who reckons I look 16.4% harder. Enough said
