Wimbledon, Yay!
Despite the fact that I am useless at tennis, I love Wimbledon. What a first day we were treated to yesterday! I have a tendency to root for the underdog (I’m British, so no chance of rooting for the favourite I guess!) and yesterday was full of near-victories for the underdogs. I enjoyed watching Federer squirm against Falla and I really wanted Olivier Rochus to beat that annoying, chest-beating, i’m-worth-$17 million, Novak Djokovic but he just fell short. Here’s hoping that the bar remains set-high for the tournament.
Only two days to go until the global launch of the iPhone 4 on the 24th. I’m really excited. I’ve decided to go with Vodafone after much deliberation and I have my PAC code at the ready. Most shops are opening at 08:00 on Thursday so I ‘m going to head down to the city centre at around 06:30 to start queuing in the hope that I can pick up a top-of-the-range 32GB one.
I seemed to have “volunteered” to be on-call this evening at work. An extremely unreliable co-worker phoned in sick and poor Oli was tasked with finding an SHO to cover her on-call today. He’s stepped up to do the day but I couldn’t let him miss out on engagement ring shopping this evening could I? I only have to work from 17:00 ’til 21:00 and I will be paid (a pittance) for it but it does screw my day up as I often have a half-day on a Tuesday. Oh well, mustn’t grumble.

You’re a good man to “volunteer” to do an extra on-call. A little delusional to think you are going to get paid more!!
I’m waiting for the iphone 4 to come out as well. Time to upgrade. I need a new phone to go in Felix (the name for the A3).

Is the new phone coming out tomorrow in Oz too? Fi thinks I’m crazy for going to to queue early – I just hope I don’t get raped in the city centre…

Nah, a couple of months wait of course. Gives it time for all the kinks to be ironed out.
How is Max?

He’s good. Still have to constantly defend the fact that he’s NOT a hairdresser’s car!
