Entertaining Myself

Nothing dodgy about this post despite the title I assure you.

Since Fi is working her socks off for her exam on Saturday, I’ve found myself with a lot more free time than usual. As there are no exams for me to revise for for the next couple of months at least, I’ve decided that I need to use my time more productively. I had started working on an iPhone app a couple of months ago that could be used at work. I had developed it to a (semi) usable state and even used it at work on a few occasions. I came across a few bugs that proved troublesome to squash (largely due to design flaws on my part) and lost interest. I’ve decided that I am going to finish it – Hell, I might even make some money out of it!

I’ve started to code the app from scratch to correct the major design flaws the original had. I’m setting myself a deadline of August 3rd (coinciding with the start of my Radiology job). I need to start finishing some of the projects I start.

What else have I been doing apart from programming? Well, I have been outside! Fi and I took a nice stroll to Clifton across the Downs before dinner and enjoyed a pint in the pub before cooking some yummy pasta primavera (one of the only vegetarian dishes I ever bother to cook!).

It’s back to work tomorrow and I’m not particularly energised by the thought. Not long to go now – I make it 5 more weeks of Surgery by my calculations…
