Our Australian Leaving Do
Remarkably, I’m not that hungover. Last night Fi and I had our ‘leaving do’ at Good Life Pizza in Glenelg (an old favourite).
Salam came around to the house at 19:00 to check out our LCD TV that I’m hoping he’ll buy and to suss out if there’s anything else of ours he wants. Fi, Salam and myself then walked to the Dublin and had a pint in the glorious sunshine. We were joined shortly afterwards by Bjorn and his girlfriend Emma, Murray, Holly, Lynda, Anit and Bec. We had reservations at the pizza place at 20:00 so we strolled across Moseley Square to get our table and hooked up with John, Nick, Emma who were already there. Loads of other people showed up for food too (Clayton, Derek, Tim, Erin, Serah and Dougie and probably a few others too!). We had a brilliant night. The food was tasty and plentiful and the wine flowed freely. The bill only came to just over $50 each which I thought was pretty reasonable.
After food, we headed back to the Dublin for some more cheer and dancing. I’d just like to thank everybody who made the effort to join us – we’re gonna miss you guys.
